‘Stop Asian Hate': Asian appeal to end the violence
Tens of thousands of Asian Americans walk across the Brooklyn Bridge with anti-discrimination slogans on April 4 in New York City.
On that day, the Coalition of Asian-Americans for Civil Rights (CAACR) organized a demonstration in New York City to protest against the recent frequent racial discrimination against Asian Americans in the United States.
The demonstration lasted more than three hours. Starting from Foley Square in Manhattan, the parade crossed the Brooklyn Bridge and finally arrived at Cadman Plaza Park in front of Brooklyn City Hall. Chen Shanzhuang, general convener of the CAACR and chairman of the Asian American Community Empowerment, said that about 30,000 people participated in the demonstration.
Not only in New York, but also in East American cities such as Boston, Philadelphia, and New Jersey, demonstrations were also held on the same day.
This video roughly shows the route of the demonstration: from Foley Square in Manhattan, across the Brooklyn Bridge, to Cadman Plaza Park in front of Brooklyn City Hall.
